Discipleship Classes

Dear Church Family,

This week, Parkway University begins its first six week semester of the fall. There will be three options from which you can choose. Each class will begin at 5:00. Child care will be provided.

Option One, Teacher—Pastor Chris:

Just Do Something! A Liberating Approach to Finding God’s Will. This class could also be title “How to make a decision without dreams, visions, fleeces, impressions, open doors, random Bible verses, casting lots, liver shivers, writing in the sky etc.” Ever wonder about God’s will on issues of what to buy, where to work, who to date, who to marry, where to worship, etc? Then this class is for you. There is no cost for this class.

Option Two, Teacher—Pastor Gary

Raising Great Kids. This class will focus on the positive aspects of parenting from a Christian perspective. It will also provide an excellent opportunity to get to know Pastor Gary who is a fantastic teacher! If I wasn’t teaching a class, I’d be taking this one! There may be a nominal cost for supplies/books.

Option Three, Teacher—Roy Thornton

Share Jesus without Fear. Ever find yourself in a situation where you wanted to share the gospel, but didn’t know how to begin the conversation? Do you consider yourself to be a hopeless introvert who could never be an evangelist? What if a neighbor (or child) came to you one evening and told you they wanted to become a Christian, but didn’t understand how? Would you be ready to share? Share Jesus without Fear is one of the greatest evangelism training courses ever written. It does not require extensive memory work and is written for beginners. There will be a nominal cost for the workbook.
