Chris Bonts

Senior Pastor

On August 17, 2008, Parkway called Chris Bonts to serve as Senior Pastor. Chris moved to Parkway from CrossRoad Church in Floyds Knobs, Indiana, a church he planted in conjunction with the Nehemiah Project of the North American Mission Board. In addition to eight years of service in Indiana, Chris has served churches in Alabama and Florida in various capacities.

Chris has been married to Marcie for 17 years and has been blessed with two wonderful children (Tyler and Brooke). A native of Jacksonville, Florida, Chris holds a Bachelor of Arts in Theology from The Baptist College of Florida, an Advanced Master of Divinity in Missions, Evangelism, and Church Growth, and the Doctor of Philosophy in Evangelism and Church Growth from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.

Chris is passionate about his family, God’s church, and God’s Word. His spiritual gifts are preaching, teaching, encouragement, giving, and hanging out. His hobbies are woodworking, golf, and reading.
